Green Eggs & Ham Typeface

The über-talented team Warner Brothers Animation commissioned me to make some typefaces for their production of Green Eggs & Ham. They wanted the two main characters in the series to have specific typefaces that would represent their personalities and carry clues about plot points. Their budget was tight and there was a wide range of use cases, but I found a way to deliver tools for their needs. Instead of building out full typeface families with many weights and widths, I carefully chose specific widths and weights that targeted the main use cases and worked well enough for the other uses cases. Animated series have long development times, so I made the typefaces years before the first episode arrived. When it did, I tuned in to see if my typefaces made the final cut. Not only did they make it, minutes in one of the characters held up their business card and made a "Nice font, right?" joke.
