Hornall Anderson asked me to make a basic typeface for Quaker in the same style as the logo I had drawn for them. There were no use cases, so this was one of those “just in case they need it” projects. I made it and never saw it in use. Years later, well after the logo I had drawn had been retired, I saw the typeface appear on some point of sale marketing in a grocery store. Then it disappeared again. Then it showed up as a primary typeface on their instant oat products.
